I have around 1200sf I'd love to be able to drive on without making huge ruts. Tried to get better pricing from the manufacturer's resellers, but it was within $25 of the amazon price! So I bought one pack as a test, which is what I'm reviewing. My soil is sandy and rocky, but turns to mush for a month or two a year when the ground deeper down is frozen and the top gets rain or the snow cover melts. I tried installing in the fall after heavy rain; fail. Wouldn't sink in with a 12x12 tamper, lawn roller, or even a vehicle on a single square. Waited until a 2" rain this week (in January) and had much better luck. Still had to use the tamper to smash down certain portions, but it went down.I can tell already that it needs grass to really remain stable/at the top...I have an area without grass where a trailer had been parked, and it's very muddy already (maybe 1/4" of mud over the pavers). This is expected though, you can't expect a 1" deep plastic grid to stay stable on its own on a sea of gelatinous muck. We'll see how things look after this spring. These things are expensive, but I hate gravel, don't want asphalt (would also be about 10x the price and if I pulled permits the town likely wouldn't approve adding impervious surface). Did I mention the wife approves? That too.Update: Added photo...Decided to rearrange the tiles before things dried/froze to be the full width. This is one pack 10 feet wide (not exactly a lot of coverage for $180), but they are performing pretty well so far...Come spring the grass should certainly improve the aesthetics.

Easy to install. Interlocking 2 ft squares. Installed to extend driveway into wet run off area. Keeps soil from eroding and washing out. Very strong and keeps the ruts out of lawn area where you do any driving on lawn.Gives you an extra parking pad without paving. Works great.

This grid is awesome. I used it as a platform for a new shed I put up and it goes togeher in seconds. It's sturdy it keeps your shed off the ground and keeps it stable. I highly recommend this product. I was so concerned about having to build something because it gets wet in my backyard but this is the way to go and it's recycled.

Extremely easy to work with. I used 3/4" crushed gravel for the base. 2 to four inches to level base, then laid TrueGrid and filled the cores. You can easily RAISE the grids as you fill them. You CANNOT lower them! Since the grid system is so strong and gravel is considered 100% compaction, for me it did not matter if there was 2" on top or 4". the grid is LOCKED in, seems as perfect a base for stones to come.

Purchased these for the edges of my narrow driveway where people, myself included, tend to go into the grass. They installed easily in the rain soaked ground with just a few intentional passes of my car over them. When installing these, as just described, I could immediately feel when a tire drove off the edge of one and onto the unsupported yard. These are just what was needed to protect the yard next to my driveway from getting rutted!

This is 100% worth it in my opinion. I used this to deal with a dirt driveway that was annoying me due to mud. I laid these (I didn’t even bother to even out the earth first) and covered with pea gravel (letting the gravel fill in the uneven spots). The mud is no longer an issue and the gravel doesn’t slide around so I’m confident I won’t need to do much upkeep (like replacing the gravel) any time soon. I wouldn’t use this if the ground is incredibly bumpy but if there is an occasional dip or mound, it should work.

I laid a 4 foot wide by 50 foot long path down a 15 degree or so downslope in about 4 hours including filling in with gravel. I pinned each piece in a couple places. I couldn’t be happier. Now I have a nonslip path that looks great. I plan to add more paths like this on other steep areas of my property.
